Retired and decided to tackle my Mtn house yard and leaf project. My previous Zero turn was a Scag worked great at my FL home. My NC home in Fall has a tremendous leaf issue. The Mulch on Demand initially attracted me to the Z950 and 60" deck. It solved the issue after 2 passes. The quality of this product is excellent my only issue is a open recall on the Voltage Regulator on

Decided to add this z950M to my lawn care business - so glad I did! John Deere has always worked hard for me and this z950 mows better than anything ive been on! Originally was going to purchase a stripe kit, but decided to see how it cut first. There's absolutely no need to add a striping kit - it leaves perfect stripes and a super clean cut! Wasn't expecting this mower to perform THAT good! Very happy with my purchase

Bought this as an upgrade to a three year old 915e for two reasons. First was the Kawasaki 27 hp power plant. It purrs like a kitten. Secondly I wanted the Mulch on Demand (MOD) deck. The mulching works ok. I've only used it on grass and it does leave a little clumpy grass. Nothing too bad. I'm kind of a perfectionist so I've been going over mulched areas twice. The photo is of my front yard. I don't think most customers would notice if just done once. It is also great when you are in tight areas where you don't want to get grass all over mulch, AC units, cars, people. About the baffles. 90 percent of the time I just side discharge. I was noticing it wasn't really blowing out that well. Grass was shooting out the left side of the deck. Then I read in the owners manual and it said you can remove the baffles. I did and it solved the problem. As far as I can tell it doesn't affect mulching too much. I may replace them in the fall for leaves. We shall see. Oh, if you get one add the Comfort Glide seat, like sitting on a recliner.
